Day 39 - Cloisters and burial grounds
Thursday, June 2, 2011
We left Bath this morning but had many stops on our way back. The fist was Lacock Abbery and grounds. The land and entire community is a historic site - listed and controlled.
The Abbey was beautiful. The cloisters were probably my favourite part. Harry Potter was filmed here; I can totally see why. I feel like I’m part of something much bigger here. Of what, I do not know… just something bigger.
Our last stop of the day was a burial ground right off the highway and something I learned from it is that I want to be cremated. I got really upset while I was there and took a moment to vent in my log book:
The longer I live on this planet, the more I despise human kind. Why can’t we just leave things be? I mean, I understand the science and history and learning behind it, but why disrupt the entire planet? [/rant]
