Day 40 - More Music, More Tears, More Love

London with Jason, Dianna, Phil and Emily. The plan was to see the Lion King. The show was sold out unfortunately so we ventured to the center of Soho to see if there were any remaining seats for Les Mis. We managed to grab some for affordable prices! Emily wasn’t really interested so we pointed her in the direction towards Chicago. I assume she made it there as it seemed like she really wanted to see it. Anyway… Les Mis was INCREDIBLE!! (As if I wouldn’t like it!) Much more emphasis on the score and singing and a much different vibe than Wicked. Wicked still takes the cake for me but it was great to see a show with such a powerful storyline. Also, after 25 years and being the longest running musical, there was no going wrong with this choice.
Favourite Character: Eponine
The understudy played the role for our showing and did an AMAZING job! My favourite of the night.
The entire second act, I found myself bawling my eyes out! *Spoiler Alert* Why did she have to die?! So heartbreaking!
I also have to mention the brilliance of the set!
It was such a great night! Even Phil liked it! I just love when I can show people the power of the musical!
I still need to see the Lion King thoughh……
