Day 42 - Sleeping In!

Enjoyed the morning on the patio/balcony. This place is beautiful! It’s unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. The city is HUGE! Everyone to be living on top of each other but with no skyscrapers.
We took a trip to the beach today. Quite an experience! We took the bus, underground Metro, and the TRAM! — Packed with bodies (The tram and the beach!)
The water was fantastic! Again, I didn’t realize how much I missed it.
Later that evening we went for a Greek dinner and then a protest! It was incredible! So powerful yet peaceful at the same time. They know exactly what they are fighting for. It was so exciting to get in the middle of it all. It also made me more aware of the things going on in my own country. Maybe it’s time for Canada to wake up.
(Updated note: It was very unfortunate that the peaceful protests that I witnessed turned into riots. When people are so passionate about a cause, they let rationality go out the window. It’s sad to watch something fall apart)
