Day 44 - Sunburns Hurt like a Bitch!

Woke up this morning with an extremely swollen eye (The girls suspect each other of punching me!) — as cool as that story may sound, i’m suspecting it’s just allergies… annoying allergies. Oh well, I can deal.
Apart from that, we had a very busy day sightseeing in Athens! All the while I was trying to nurse an awful sunburn from the day before. You can never find clothes loose enough — very painful, but you couldn’t find me complaining.
What an amazing trip we had to the Acropolis!! It was incredible! One of the best sights/sites I’ve been too so far. It doesn’t seem as ‘off-limits’ as some of the ones I’ve seen yet it seemed so ancient and majestic. I never thought the Parthenon was so huge! Being there gave me an incredible feeling. After that we went to the Museum of Athens which also turned out to be one of the best museums I’ve seen.
We got to see the empty spaces reserved for the Elgin Marbles… just bring them back already, Britain!
I loved the mirroring between the Parthenon and the Museum. The dimensions inside the museum matched the Parthenon which you could see through the window.
