Day 49 - See you later, Greece!

Sunday, June 12, 2011

What an amazing trip! It was everything I hoped it would be, with a little experience of everything — beaches, food, markets, museums, ancient sites, relaxing, etc.

I was planning on getting a little more sun today, but Zeus had other plans. I’ve never seen a thunder and lightning storm this big before! With the layout of Simon’s condo, we were able to get a 360 degree view of the storm in Athens; absolutely incredible.

*Maybe Zeus was angry that we were leaving?

Anyway, the flight was good and got in a little early. Unfortunately, the cab driver we requested was not there and someone, who shall remain nameless, took it into their own hands to run far ahead of the group out into the street looking for our cab.

There were cab drivers waiting upstairs so obviously that would have been the best place to stay, but nooooo… someone had to make themselves feel important. Some people need to develop better communication skills and also some cooperating skills. [/rant]

Oh well, besides that, AMAZING trip!
