Day 52 - Galleries!

“The law is no less conceptual than Fine Art” -Lord Carlile of Berriew QC
Today was a marathon of galleries. We tried to beat the record for the most seen in a day. I’m pretty sure we beat it. If so, YAY us! Some of the shows we went to were:
- Xenofon Kavvadias - an interesting exhibit dealing with illegal books.
- Laurie Simmons @ Wilkinson
- Kate Davis @ FRED [LONDON] LTD -loved her pin hole female figures from religious scriptures
- Antti Laitinen @ Nettie Horn
- Transgression @ Beers.Lambert
- Dot Studio
- Ai Weiwei @ Lisson Gallery
- Royal Academy of Arts (?)
- I may have missed one along the way.
It was a lot of fun to do but SO mentally draining! We talked a lot about industrail spaces becoming galleries. I gave artists the room they needed and often affordable. Charissa, Amanda and I tried to go see the Lion King again tonight…. still sold out. Only crappy seats left. I’m starting to lose hope.
