Day 59 - Music, Animals, and Water
Wednesday, June 22, 2011
So after a day off and two days of classes, we’re back in London! We went to see the Horniman Museum. Much like every other cabinet of curiosity we’ve seen but with a little exception downstairs — An INCREDIBLE aquarium!
During the exploration of the collections upstairs, everyone seemed to be dragging on, not really caring, as we had seen it all before (Maybe except the giant walrus and ostrich). But as we walked downstairs and into the aquarium, we all knew this place was a little different; at least I did. My mood instantly brightened and I think I may have gone around the place three times. It was nice to see live and thriving collections for once
At the gift shop I bought a wooden frog musical instrument. One of my favourite purchases. He makes the noise of a frog — it’s pretty neat!
We also went to Dulwich Art Gallery where I just sat and enjoyed the artwork; something I haven’t done in a while. I didn’t analyze too much, I just looked and enjoyed. I found it relaxing.
